Dongfang Electric Won The Bid For Bangladesh Coal-Fired Power Station Project 09 Sep 2018

Recently, Dongfang Electric has won the “Belt and Road” project order and successfully won the bid for the 350 MW coal-fired power station project in Bangladesh. It will strive to build a high-quality demonstration project with advanced technical indicators and good economic returns, and become a benchmark in the industry.
The Barishal coal-fired power station project is located in the Barguna area in southern Bangladesh. Bangladesh is an important country in the “Belt and Road” and “China-Bangladesh-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor”. The Barishal project is an important energy project of the “Belt and Road”. The project was invested and constructed by China Power Construction Group Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. It is another project after Dongfang Electric and China Power Construction cooperated with Pakistan's Qasim Port coal-fired power station. Dongfang Electric provided steam turbine equipment for the project, which is planned to enter commercial operations in 2021.
Earlier, the two sides cooperated well in the Qasim power station project in Pakistan, which led to the project becoming one of the eight key publicity projects of the “Belt and Road” of the Central Propaganda Department.
